Hello there, my name is Annette Fortune also known to my students as ( Nette).
I am a dedicated creative, mixed media artist, art therapist, art teacher, and arts advisor with a profound passion for fostering creativity in young people.
With a wealth of experience in the arts,I specialise in teaching the fundamentals of various materials and mediums, encouraging students to explore diverse surfaces and innovative techniques.
As an art educator, I believe in the transformative power of creativity. I am committed to building confidence and competence in my students, empowering them to embrace their unique artistic abilities.
Through my engaging and supportive approach, I nurture each individual’s creative expression, helping them discover their voice in the world of art.
I am also a qualified facilitator/advisor for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Arts Awards, guiding young artists through a structured pathway that enhances their skills and showcases their achievements.
My goal is to inspire a lifelong appreciation for the arts, ensuring that every student leaves my classes with a sense of accomplishment and the tools to continue their artistic journey.

Welcome to our design space where your creative arts journey can start. Your design and development process will be overseen and encouraged by your tutors. Students portfolios will be built around individual interests. Our aim is to encourage individual creativity and build confidence in our young artists ready for their next step.
We offer a range of Art and Design courses: Creative skills developed and nurtured whether you have had any arts experience or not, we aim to make your creative experience a pleasant journey of learning ,creating and sharing..
Our learners are encouraged to use as much primary resource material as possible. Taking photographs of things that catch their attention. Making notes of colour schemes, textures making mood boards and are encouraged to carry a sketch pad.Learners visit exhibitions and galleries and take part in workshops, recently our learners went to the #GenerationArt exhibition at #Newwalk museum and #softtoucharts.
Learners use a variety of resources to get inspiration looking at a variety of books and the internet. Not just Google images. We use ART.UK The Art UK website shows the entire UK national collection of oil paintings, the stories behind them, and where to see them for real.An extremely useful resource for our learners.Work experience relevant to vocation working alongside Artists, Musicians,Photographers check out the blog for up to date projects.
